As Chief Bosun, one of Bruce Cowden's jobs is to ensure that all scientific equipment used on the Ron Brown is deployed and recovered correctly. Bruce must also make sure that everything is done safety and in an organized manner, minimizing the risk of injury or damage to both equipment and his crew.
