This is a Quicktime VR panorama of Maug Island. After the file has completely loaded, you can change your view direction by holding down the mouse button and dragging the cursor inside the movie window.
The three islets that make up Maug are the partially submerged crater rim of an active volcano. The R/V Thompson was located at the center of the crater when these photos were taken. (Photos by John Lupton; QTVR panorama by Clay Hamilton.)
