Kasuga 1 submarine volcano

Kasuga 1 submarine volcano is nearly a perfect cone, indicating it is relatively young and active. It is constructed from repeated eruptions from a small area at the summit. Kasuga 1 was surveyed using the EM300 multibeam system mounted on the hull of the R/V Thompson. The grid-cell size is 35 meters. The image is not vertically exaggerated.
