The threadnose bass (Anthias tenuis)


The threadnose bass, Anthias tenuis, a planktivorous streamer bass from the Flower Garden Banks. Streamer basses are the most numerous reef fishes on deep, shelf-edge reefs of the northwestern Gulf of Mexico. Illustration by D. Weaver, FGBNMS.
