These are some of the highlights from our first four dives of DEEP SEARCH 2019. At Richardson Hills and Savannah Banks, we saw healthy Lophelia pertusa mounds as well as other stony corals like Enallopsammia and Solenosmilia. At Blake Deep, we observed a high diversity of black corals and bamboo corals, which are more commonly found at deeper depths (greater than 1,000 meters).
