As part of the Machine Learning for Automated Detection of Shipwreck Sites from Large Area Robotic Surveys expedition, Michigan Technological University deployed remotely operated vehicle (ROV) Outland 1000 for close-range imaging surveys. This ROV is a tethered underwater vehicle with video camera, lights, navigation sonar, and articulated arm, capable of diving to 305 meters (1,000 feet).
