Deploying Clelia

At 8:00 a.m., the Clelia submersible was deployed into the Savannah Scarp. This image shows the line being carefully maneuvered while the Clelia descends. Moving the submersible to the water is a carefully orchestrated process, and can be dangerous in the event that the line breaks away from the sub.
