We had this fantastic encounter with a squid in the genus Asperoteuthis while exploring the water column at 800 meters (2,625 feet) off Puerto Rico. The squid measured between 1.2 to 1.8 meters (4 to 6 feet) in length and just gave us a quick drive (or swim?) by!
