This large colony of bamboo coral (family Isididae) provided habitat for a variety of other marine life. Seen during Dive 04 of the second Voyage to the Ridge 2022 expedition at a depth of 2,570 meters (1.60 miles), this colony measured nearly a meter across and was likely at least a hundred years old.
