This sea spider, or pycnogonid, was seen on a large coral in the genus Hemicorallium during Dive 08 of the second Voyage to the Ridge 2022 expedition at a depth of 1,166 meters (3,825 feet). While we did not actively observe this sea spider snacking on the coral, sea spiders are known predators of coral polyps.
