Remotely operated vehicle Deep Discoverer moves over the seafloor during Dive 08 of the second Voyage to the Ridge 2022 expedition. While extensive basalt rubble was seen on the seafloor at the start of the dive, as we approached the upper slope valley of the seamount being explored, there was significantly less basalt rubble or exposed pillow basalts.
