The Orpheus, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution’s autonomous underwater vehicle, is about to go on its first deep-sea dive of the 2021 Technology Demonstration. The photographic imagery it collects will help inform the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory terrain relative navigation software that will eventually enable the Orpheus to navigate independently.
