May 27, 2021. We've heard a lot from the scientists and engineers of the 2021 Technology Demonstration, but who is responsible for NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer itself? The ship is operated by a talented group of NOAA Commissioned Corps and civilians as part of NOAA's fleet managed by NOAA Office of Marine and Aviation Operations, each of whom is critical to the success of any expedition.
