A North Atlantic wreckfish (Polyprion americanus)
in its natural habitat. This fish is a large, slow-growing,
deep-water fish that is currently caught by commercial
fishermen on the Blake Plateau. Wreckfish can grow
to 5 ft long and weigh up to 150 lbs.
