Buccionid whelks and bluish-purplish unidentified mat

Buccionid whelks (the large ivory-colored gastropods) are probably using their siphons to deposit feed. Snails, limpets and polychaete worms are also visible, as well as a blue/purple mat which is yet to be identified. Image courtesy of Submarine Ring of Fire 2002, NOAA/OER.
