Throughout the Seascape Alaska 3 expedition, we observed sea stars feasting on corals at a depth of 570 meters (1,870 feet). This is not unusual, as sea stars are known predators of corals, but it is still always exciting and informative to see. These Hippasterid sea stars were seen eating Primnoa sp. corals during Dive 07 of the expedition.
